Sir, please find the attached file.

I got this lovely spam today:

Sir,

Please find the attached file.

After searching my house, my car, my work, and even a few public parks nearby, I realized the file had been hidden in plain sight all along! It was right there in the email! What a wonderful way to spend the day.

Somebody told me it was probably poor grammar on the part of the spammer, and it was probably meant to read, “Sir, please open the attached file.” But in my opinion, that kind of thinking is exactly why spammers and regular folk don’t get along well. I think the spammer was trying to ADD VALUE to his or her attempt at scamming me. It was a truly novel approach to stealing my identity, and I for one eagerly look forward to the next season of Spam Games.
